Donald Edward Lewis, age 85 of Fairfield, passed away at Heartland of Woodridge on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 6:50 PM. He was born in Hamilton on June 19, 1931 the son of Earl Sr. and Annis Faye (Felts) Lewis. Donald was a veteran of the Korean War with the United States Army from 1951 to 1954.
He is survived by his brother, John Lewis of Hamilton; three nieces, Nancy (Tom) Proffitt and their children, Ashley and Cody, JoAnn (Ronnie) Lunsford, and Sharon; and two nephews, Wayne (Desi) Lewis and their children, Connor, Coy, and Chase, and Steve Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Agee) Lewis; his parents; one brother, Earl Lewis Jr.; sister-in-law, Carol Lewis; and nephew, John Lewis Jr.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
