Geraldine May (Baker) Davis

April 8, 1926 — October 4, 2020

Geraldine May (Baker) Davis, 94, died October 4, 2020, at Woodland Country Manor near Oxford.  She was born April 8, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio to Clarence Baker and Mattie (Graves) Wilson.

Geraldine was a long-standing member of Stahlheber Baptist Church where she and her husband Harold raised all five of their children.  There, they made a lifelong friend in Reverend Bill Clouse a pastor the family will always hold dear.

Geraldine was a wonderful mother to her children as well as any child who entered her home.  She sewed clothing for her family, church members, and anyone in need—never charging.  Later in her life, she sold fine jewelry at Elder Beerman.  She loved travel.  In her life she visited Israel several times, Egypt, she kissed the blarney stone in Ireland, and backpacked Europe at the age of 66.  She was always ready to pack her bags for one last adventure, one last dance.  She loved her home and called it “God’s little green acre. “

She is predeceased by her parents, husband William Thomas Roe II whose life was cut much too short, husband of 39 years Harold Alvin Davis, sister Minerva Owens, sister Kathleen Baker, brother Joe Baker, and brother Bob Baker.

Survivors include William Thomas Roe III (wife Beverly), Shawnee Davis, Shane Davis (wife Diana), Amber (Davis) Combs (husband Pete), Scarlet (Davis) Day (husband Jeff), Grandchildren: Nikki Ponder (husband Michael), Caleb Combs (wife Rachael), Chairty Huber (husband Jake), Luke Combs (wife Samantha), Nicholas Combs (wife Brooke), Gabby Combs, Moriah Day, Miranda Day, and Graham Day.

Great Grandchildren: Ryan Ponder, Tyler Ponder, Breanne Ponder, Ronin and Astrid Combs, Hawkin Fix and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, Millville Ave.  Burial will proceed at Millville Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Jeff Day, Pete Combs, Caleb Combs, Luke Combs, Nicholas Combs, Graham Day.
