Gregory Alan Knodel

Gregory Alan Knodel, age 38 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on March 25, 1977 to Larry and Connie (Puckett) Knodel. Greg was a 1995 graduate of Hamilton High School, a member of Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church and a former employee at Matandy Steel. He always caught the biggest fish. He loved playing basketball. Greg will be remembered for his caring nature and his tender-heartedness that was demonstrated by many acts of selfless generosity. Numerous times he gave everything he had to friends and others who had very little, or had a special need. Greg developed Juvenile Diabetes at nine years of age, battling the physical and emotional complications and issues that are associated with this chronic and debilitating disease.

He is survived by his parents, sister, Allison (Russ) Loges, special aunt, Donna Marie Puckett, niece and nephew, Reagan and Jackson Loges, aunts and uncles Larry (Louise) Puckett, Jackie (Oliver) Nieman, Kenny (Donna) Knodel, girlfriend, Emily Anderson and numerous cousins, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and James Puckett, Robert and Dorothy (Wert) Knodel, aunts and uncles, Jimmy Puckett, Jean (Don) Bowling, and Robert (Irene) Quisenberry.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 1PM with Pastors Ken Ogle and Aaron Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 11AM-1PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
