Lonnie R. Parker

Lonnie R. Parker, age 54 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was born in Hamilton on November 19, 1961 the son of Leonard and Betty Parker. Lonnie was employed as a custodian for Hamilton City Schools for several years. On August 16, 1980 in Hamilton he married Janice Gibson. Lonnie was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed birdwatching, attending family gatherings, and his family genealogy.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Parker of Hamilton; three sons, Dustin (Stephanie Henson) Parker, Nicholas Parker, and Aaron Parker, all of Hamilton; his father, Leonard Parker of Brookville, Indiana; four siblings, Shelley (Jon) Holliday, Richard Parker, Jeffrey Parker, and Buddy (Cynthia) Parker, all of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Macey and Mackenna (and their mother Danielle), Blake (and his mother Cassie), and Colton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Parker.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
