Mae (Wilson) Brandenburg

Mae Brandenburg, age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at Ft. Hamilton on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Mae was born in Booneville, Kentucky on April 6, 1925 to Samuel Wilson and Lucinda Caudill Wilson.

Mae is survived by her grandchildren, Roy Lee “Bubby”  (Marcia) McCowan and Tanya Lynn (Dennis) Kidwell, of Scottsburg IN.; 4 great grandchildren, William Kyle Jett, Laiken McCowan, Justin McCowan and Breana McCowan; 2 great great grandchildren, Sophia Jett and Kyle Jett Jr. Mrs. Brandenburg also leaves one dear niece, Helen (Dennis) Matheny, of Hamilton. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lucinda “Cindy” Wilson, of Booneville KY.; sister, Ruth (Lester) Tirey; brothers, Carl and Hobart Wilson; sons, Roy Marvin (Bernice) McCowan and a baby boy who died at birth; nephew, Lester (Barbara) Tirey, of Crab Orchard KY; husband of 47 years, Roger Brandenburg.

Mrs. Brandenburg was a member of the Pater Ave Free Pentecostal Church of God. She will be missed by many who loved and knew her. The family wants to thank Hospice of Cincinnati. A special thank you to nurse Stephanie, at Ft. Hamilton Hospital who was instrumental in the care of Mae in her last few hours.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church, 1321 Pater Ave., Hamilton, OH. A private service will follow.  Burial at Millville Cemetery.
