Richard "Dick" Glenn Jefferson Sr.

Richard "Dick" Glenn Jefferson Sr., age 76 of Trenton, passed away at Atrium Medical Center on Friday, July 13, 2018. He was born in Lecompte, Louisiana on May 15, 1942 the youngest son of James and Ethel (Irby) Jefferson. Dick was a veteran of Vietnam with the United States Navy from 1959 to 1964. He was a member of the Edgewood Baptist Church, where he served faithfully for many years. Dick was the owner of The Upholstery Shop, which has been located in Fairfield, Ohio for over thirty years.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Janette Jefferson; three children, Richard (Susan) Jefferson Jr., Kathy Daughterty, and Jack Jefferson; two stepdaughters, Shiloh and Shannon Ruth; five grandchildren, Richard Glenn Jefferson III, Alyssa Flatt, Curtis Jefferson, Lindsey Flatt, and Alex Flatt; and one great grandson, Landon Gross. He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Audrey Scarborough, Bennie Jefferson, Ileana Gordon, and James Jefferson; and his mother-in-law, Sandy Schroer.

Memorial service will be held at Edgewood Baptist Church, 1010 W State St, Trenton, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:00 PM with Pastor Keith Risner officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church.
