Robert Castrucci

Robert Joseph Castrucci Sr, age 86 of Hamilton, Ohio went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning January 3, 2018. He was born May 31, 1931 to Aldo Castrucci Sr. and Georgia (nee Cole) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is survived by his devoted wife and caregiver with whom he shared nearly 67 years of marriage Carole Lee (nee Borger), his brothers, Aldo Castrucci Jr. (Faye) and George Castrucci (Lois), his children, Lynda C. Peters, Robert J. Castrucci Jr. (Holly), Kenneth A. Castrucci (Elizabeth), and Barbara A. Beckman (Michael) in addition to 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and his loyal dog Rusty. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, his little doodlebug, Donna Marie Spegal. He attended Holy Name School as a child and after graduating from Roger Bacon High School in 1949; he enlisted in the USAF and married his sweetheart Carole. He embraced his duties while serving and was Honorably Discharged and thanked for his service in 1953. Upon his return he began working for Bostitch Staple co. where he worked for ten years and quickly soared to the top of the sales board achieving salesman of the year status. In 1964, he was invited to join the car business by his big brother Al, sparking a lifelong fascination with all things cars. He and his brother spent several years opening and managing dealerships together. As a successful sales manager; he took great pride in his work, down to every detail, during retirement he enjoyed his long time boating hobby, building model cars, long naps, the constant companionship of his loyal dogs and taunting others that he didn’t have to get up for work the next day. The last few years of his life were spent bravely battling to stay one step ahead of Parkinson’s disease that would take his independence one piece at a time. He was patient and kind up to the end in spite of his enormous challenges.
