Robert L. Durbin, age 79 of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 9:58 AM. He was born in Hamilton on November 7, 1928 the son of Leonard and Mary (House) Durbin. Robert was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the United States Marine Corps from 1952-1954. He was employed as a millwright for General Motors for thirty years, retiring in 1980. On September 10, 1996 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho he married Pam Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Durbin of Hamilton; two sons, Robert L. Durbin of Hamilton and Joseph M. Durbin of Idaho; one daughter, Diane Gabbard of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother, Ray Buell of Florida; one sister, Mary Durbin of Oxford; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
