Roland C. Wood

Roland C. Wood, age 74 of Seven Mile, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015. He was born in Wessington Springs, SD on May 27, 1941 to Arthur and Alice Olsen. Roland was employed at Aeronca Aerospace for 44 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and a life member of the NRA since 1964.

He is survived by his son, Gilbert (Janine) Wood, his grandson, Kenny (Amanda) Wood, his granddaughter, Stephanie Wood, his brothers-in-law, Marvin (Nancy) McCain and Michael (Nora) McCain. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Helen Wood, his son, Richard Wood, his brother, Donald Wood, and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 7PM with Pastor Terry McCain officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
