Ronnie Lee Mathis

Ronnie Lee Mathis was born on April 30th, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio and went home to be with the Lord on September 27th, 2021. Ronnie married Amy Arlene Mathis (Reiff) October 14th, 1967. Ronnie is survived by his sister Belinda Richter and husband Dave Richter of Hamilton, Ohio. Two sons, Steven Ronnie Mathis of Hamilton, Ohio and Kevin Lee Mathis and wife Angie Mathis of Hamilton, Ohio. Three grandchildren, Kayla, Courtney (Robert)  and Hannah, and 2 great-grandchildren, Robert Allen Boles III and Jax Allen Schaible Jr.; one sister, Belinda (David) Richter; and one sister in law, Patty Mathis. Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife (Amy Mathis), his father (Arnold Mathis), mother (Margaret Mathis) and brother (Mike Mathis).

Ronnie retired from Butternut Bread Company after 31 years of service. Upon retiring, he drove a school bus for Fairfield City Schools for 14 years. He was a devout Christian man and was a member of The Greenhills Baptist Church. Ronnie was a great loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him, but our loss is Heaven’s gain.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ernie Murray officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
