Ruth R. Jones, age 92 of Hamilton passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 2:20 PM. She was born in Hamilton on September 26, 1914 the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (Long) Hamann. Ruth was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. On July 20, 1939 in Hamilton she married John Russell Jones, and he preceded her in death in 1988.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas R. (Suzanne K.) Jones of Hamilton and Raymond E. (Karen) Jones of Lexington, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kristy), R. Kirk (Tina), Michael, Patrick, Meghan, Matthew (Brandy), and Edwin; and seven great-grandchildren, Aaron, Christopher, Tyler, Gracie, Ellen, Troy, and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edwin, Hamann, Louis Hamann, and her twin Robert Hamann; and two sisters, Norma Korb and Esther Hanna.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann Catholic Church, 3028 Pleasant Avenue, on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
