Ruth Larkin

Ruth Larkin, age 72 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 1:32 PM. She was born in Church Hill, Tennessee on January 21, 1936 the daughter of Darrell and Vesta (Smith) Mullins. Ruth was employed as a salesperson at K-Mart for 25 years and was a member of VFW Post #7670 Auxiliary. On September 5, 1953 in Gate City, Virginia she married John T. Larkin, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

She is survived by two sons, Rick T. (Darlene) Larkin of Trenton and Avery A. Larkin of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Kristopher Jesse, Rickey Larkin Jr., Amberly Larkin, and Michael Cash; a great-grandson, Cody; a sister, Shelby Hickman of Church Hill, Tennessee; two brothers, David (Vivian) Mullins of Church Hill, Tennessee and Jeff Mullins of Kingsport, Tennessee; a son-in-law, Wendell Jesse; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Coleen Jesse; and two brothers, Roger Mullins and J.W. Mullins.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Joe Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
