Ada Clutts, age 88 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Monday, September 3, 2007 at 8:50 AM. She was born in Perry County, Kentucky on December 26, 1918 the daughter of Dee and Neva (Reeves) Yancey. She was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God, where she was a member of the Golden Pikers and the Amazing Grace Choir. In 1941 in Perry County, Kentucky she married Harry Clutts who preceded her in death in 1980.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Carl) Plapp of Hamilton and Sherry Gutzwiller, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; step-daughter, Libby Walker of Indiana; twelve grandchildren, Rodney (Amy) Plapp, Toby (Angie) Plapp, Renee McGee, Stephen, Christian, Dustin, and Amber Gutzwiller, Pam (Gary) Robinson, Anthony, Glenn and Brenda Walker, and Nola; and three great-grandchildren, Eric, Cody, and Brianna Plapp. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Clarence Powell, Forrest Powell, Freddie Yancey, and Earl Yancey; and one sister, Alma Jones.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal Church of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
