Albert Lewis Friend, age 88 of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Albert was born in Bridgeport, Ohio on January 15, 1930 to Earl D. and Naomi I. (Boke) Friend. He gave all of his life to be a servant of this Great Gospel of Jesus Christ. Albert was the Pastor and church planter from October 1958-August 2011. He was the Sectional Presbyter for 19 years. He authored 10 books, and wrote over 500 weekly inspirational newsletters. Albert married his wonderful wife, Jean Gaebel on June 26, 1953 and together they had four children.
Albert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Friend; his children, Michael (Terry) Friend, Bonnie J. (Clark) Baker, Mark J. (Donna) Friend; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, seven siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his son, Albert L. Friend Jr. and his parents.
A Celebration of Alberts life will be held at Abundant Life Apostolic Church, 1590 Hamilton Richmond Rd., Hamilton, Ohio, on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 5:00 PM with J. Mark Jordan officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Abundant Life Apostolic Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the church. www.browndawsonflick.com
