Albert D. Heister

Albert D. Heister, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Al was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 26, 1933 to Albert D. and Alma Heister. Married for 59 years to Myrna (nee Ackman). Al was the owner of Heister Insurance Agency for 16 years, after which they retired to Florida to live on a sailboat. Besides sailing, "Big Al" enjoyed golf, woodworking, painting, trapshooting and reading. Although he had many interests and hobbies, his greatest joy was his family and his church.

Al is survived by his wife, Myrna Heister; children, Michael (Patty) Heister, Gregory Heister, Andrew (Sarah) Heister, Peter (Karen) Heister, Amy (John) Trau and Paul (Kristine) Heister; siblings, Barbara (Marty) Plage, Robert (Tag) Heister, Virginia (Dennis) Boyer, Marguerite (Gerry) Archer; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by brother, Michael E. (Lois) Heister.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Fr. James Wedig of Queen of Peace Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
