Albert Hensley

Albert Hensley, age 86 of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 6:55 PM. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on April 12, 1923 the son of Isom and Nellie (Hollandsworth) Hensley. Albert was employed as a carpenter at Champion Paper International for 45 years, retiring in 1988. He attended Pentecostal Highway of Holiness. On June 7, 1942 in Hamilton, he married Edna Lacey, and she preceded him in death in 1982; on August 19, 1988 in Alexandria, Kentucky, he was married to Florene Mills.

He is survived by his wife, Florene Hensley of Hamilton; five children, Ray Hensley of New Miami, Darrell (Joanie) Mills of Hamilton, Mark (Sandy) Mills of Barbourville, Kentucky, Kathy (Carlos) Jones of Fairfield Township, and Betty (Scott) Fowler of Millville; and eight grandchildren, Delbert Ray Hensley, Dennis Wayne Hensley, Tammy Michelle Caldwell, Ashley Jones, Ryan Mills, Tyler Mills, Ben Fowler, and Connor Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents; three daughters, Sharon Caldwell, and Rose Evelyn and Anna Lee Hensley; five brothers, Joe, Roy, Ben, Morgan, and Green Hensley; and two sisters, Martha Valentine and Ellen Hubbard.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Donnie Buttree and Rev. Jerry Pascarella officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
