Albert Kellum

Albert Kellum, age 69 of Hamilton passed away at Atrium Medical Center on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 9:00 AM. He was born in Hamilton on October 8, 1940 the son of Edward "Ham" and Elizabeth (Bowling) Kellum. Albert was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. He was employed as a keeper at AK Steel for 26 years, retiring in 1996. He was a life member of VFW Post #7670, where he held many close friendships. He loved life, his family, friends, and fishing. On December 9, 1983 in Hamilton he married Faye Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Kellum of Hamilton; four sons, Ken "Junior" (Belinda) Hacker of Canton, Jeff Kellum of Middletown, Chris (Kendra) Kellum of Hamilton, and Tim (Donna) Hacker of Trenton; five daughters, Theresa (Allen) Stone of Seven Mile, Susan (Scott) Livelsburger of Trenton, Debbie (Bob) Baldwin of Fairfield, Leslie (Pedro) Masters of Annville, Kentucky, and Mary (Tony) Nelson of Trenton; 20 grandchildren, Tabatha, Lindsey, Raven, Josh, Kori, JoJo, Scyler, Kala, Matthew, Zach, Chelsea, Jonathon, Robby, Brandon, Shelbie, Quentin, Christopher, Austin, Kyle, and Tyler; 5 great-grandchildren, Jarred, Lily, DJ, Sidney, and Samyra; three brothers, Ed (Ann) Kellum, Greg (Pearl) Kellum, both of New Miami, and Harry (Gloria) Kellum of Hamilton; three sisters, Geraldine Shepherd of Hamilton, Sharon (Harold) Hanson of West Virginia, and Roberta (Jake) Proffitt of Celina, Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Huff; and three sisters, Evelyn Robinson, Opal Wagers, and Juanita Smith.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Brother Allen Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
