Alberta White

Alberta White, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at her residence on Thursday, May 25, 2017. She was born in Hamilton on August 13, 1929 the daughter of Frank and Laura (Massey) Hollin. On November 20 1948 in Hamilton she married Paul White and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a member of Bridgewater Church. Alberta was employed as a payroll supervisor for Fairfield Schools for twenty-six years, retiring in 1990. The love of her life was her husband, children, and grandchildren. After retirement she cherished the time she spent with her great grandchildren. Alberta’s hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading, and shopping.

She is survived by two children, Pauletta (Bill) Gray and Rich White, both of Hamilton; one sister, Joyce Sampsel of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Tracy (Chris) Hurd, Bryan Gray, Jillian Adler, and Jordan Adler; and three great grandchildren, Courtney (Chris Bedinghaus) Hurd, Corey Hurd, and Cassidy Hurd. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Steve Hollin, Anna Mae Hurst, Alma Rogers, and Violet McCollum.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Ferry of Bridgewater Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
