Alice Kramer

Alice Kramer, age 75 of Hamilton passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky on February 6, 1932 the daughter of John and Mellie (Thompson) Hoskins. She attended school in Kentucky and moved to Hamilton in 1950. Alice loved gardening and flowers, and enjoyed her children. She worked as a home nurse aide for 30 years, caring for the elderly.

She is survived by four children, Pamela (Jim) Adams, Roger French, Donald Kramer, and Diana Wagers, all of Hamilton; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, including Jessica Cook, who she raised; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed Hoskins of Pineville, Kentucky; two sisters, Lucy McCracken of Hamilton and Deloris Brock of Corbin, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Don Mabis and Bud Johnson both of Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews including Rosemary and Ronny Imhoff. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, J.N. French and Walter Kramer; her son, Billy French; a brother, Hubert Hoskins; and five sisters, Addie Warren, Myrtle Mabis, Carry Johnson, Phronia Robertson, and Amanda Hoskins.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 6:00 PM with Rev. Willard Baker, Pastor of the church she attended, Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Timothy Smith.
