Alma "Toots" Adelsperger

Alma "Toots" Adelsperger, age 92 of Hamilton passed away in her residence on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:25 PM. She was born in Reading, Ohio on September 8, 1915 the daughter of Cleophas and Mary (Frederick) Becker. Alma was a member of St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church and was employed as a waitress for nine years, and then as manager of the catering department for eighteen years for Eaton Manor, retiring in 1981. On April 4, 1936 in Covington, Kentucky she was married to Joseph "Dode" Adelsperger, and they celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary before his death in 2007.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Donna "D.J." (Tagg) DeVillez of Hamilton and her daughters, Nikki Schmidt and Tiffany Mingus; one sister, Cleo Ketay of Hamilton; two granddaughters, Crystal (Robert) Easton of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Christa (Richard) King of Columbus, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren, Matt, Jake, Sara, Christopher, Brandon, Amber and Jordan; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, Mary Becker, Carol Becker, Marietta Becker, and Ann Adelsperger, all of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, James in 1998 and Jack in 2000; four brothers, Al, Ted, Bob, and Jack Becker; three sisters, Mary Montgomery, Agnes Betzold, and Sr. Margaret Becker, SND; and one grandson, Steve Adelsperger in 2004.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mike Pucke, Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of Cincinnati. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to Dr. William Krall, Hospice of Cincinnati, Tagg, Nikki, and Nate for their loving care and support.
