Alta Gabbard, age 86 of Hamilton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 18, 2013. She was born in Knox County,KY on September 26, 1926 to Farmer and Cecil (Hopper) Smith, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Vonda (Don) Allen and Tearle (Bev) Gabbard; step children, Robert Gabbard and Earl Gabbard; grandchildren, Travis (Chana) Gabbard, Kalub Allen, Kyle Allen and Dereck Gabbard; 10 other grandchildren; special niece, Bonnie (Jerry) Miller; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Gabbard; son, Terry Gabbard; step daughter, Susie Smith.
Visitation will be 11am until time of service(12noon), Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Pater Avenue Pentecostal Church, 1321 Pater Avenue, with Pastor Denny Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
