Amanda Starr Hawkey, age 29 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 5:11 PM. She was born in Hamilton on January 21, 1983 the loving daughter of Donald L. and Shirlena (Beaman) Hawkey, Sr.
Amanda is survived by her parents; Donald and Shirlena Hawkey of Hamilton; one brother, Daniel (Tiffany) Hawkey of Hamilton; three sisters, Shadeana (Lee) Wagers, Alisha (Shawn Strimpfel) Hawkey, and JoAnne (David) Kurtz, all of Hamilton; her godson, DJ Kurtz; five nieces; nine nephews; and her loving pets, Angel and Joey. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald L. Hawkey Jr.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Coning of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
