Andrew F. Chase

Andrew F. Chase, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 3:35 AM. He was born in Cincinnati on August 1, 1923 the son of Roland Paul and Margaret (Brossard) Chase. Andrew was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 to 1945. He was employed as a paper inspector at Champion International for over forty years, retiring in 1986. Andrew was a member of Knights of Columbus #968, Fairfield VFW, and St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. On June 4, 1946 in Reading, Ohio he married Irma Brelage, and she preceded him in death in 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles "Chuck" Chase.

He is survived by two sons, Stephen (Rebecca) Chase of Millville and Timothy (Susan) Chase of Edgewood, Kentucky; six daughters, Donna Chase of Hamilton, Jennifer (Theodore) Budary of Sebring, Florida, Marian (Gerald) Williams of Florence, Kentucky, Nancy (Anthony) Wallen of Lockland, Sharon (Michael) Snapp of Seale, Alabama, and Carol (William) Perry of Hamilton; a sister, Wilma (Stanley) Schappacher of Clarksburg, Ohio; a brother, Hobert Leslie (Janet) Chase of Middletown; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Tim Bunch, Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Andrew’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to all his friends and co-workers from Friday night bingo, and to his caregivers for their support and concern.
