Anna Bernice Spaulding, age 79, of Hamilton, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. She was born in Hamilton on March 4, 1928 the daughter of Floyd and Rosa (Lakes) Rawlins. Anna was a 1946 graduate of Seven Mile High School and was employed in the accounting department of Mercy Hospital of Hamilton for nineteen years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Senior Citizens and enjoyed ceramics, cross-stitching, music and reading. On October 2, 1948 in Hamilton she married Robert Spaulding who preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Cynthia) Spaulding of Cary, Illinois; her daughter, Debra (Jack) Conrad of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Jamie (Greg Grohal) Brandner, Ryan (Lindsey) Brandner, Veronica Caudill, Travis Conrad, and Lorin (Stephen) Light; two great-grandsons, Brayden Light and Elijah Brandner; a sister, Phyllis (Eldon) Letsche of Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Richard) Strode of Fairfield and Sue Spaulding of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, William (Gladys) Spaulding of St. Petersburg, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Snoopy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Richard Spaulding.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wendell Coning of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
