Anna Kathleen "Kate" Wells, age 83 of Fairfield passed away in Life Care Center of Estero, Florida on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 8:00 PM. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky on October 29, 1926 the daughter of Dave and Ethel (Couch) Farmer. Kate was a life member of the VFW Post #1069 Auxiliary and was a former member of The Presbyterian Church. On January 19, 1945 in Covington, Kentucky she was married to Charles Wells.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wells of Fairfield; one daughter, Sherry Ann (Robert) Kolb of Fisher, Indiana; three grandchildren, Dr. Lori Beth (Michael) Kuczmanski of Atlanta, Georgia, David (Jennifer) Kolb of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Matthew (Rebecca) Kolb of Bellevue, Kentucky; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Lane, Parker, Addy, Marin, and Penelope. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Lee Wells in 1967; and three brothers, Harold, Dave, and Paul Farmer.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Charles Testas, Pastor of Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
