Anthony "Tony" Reid, age 58 of Fairfield passed away at his residence on Monday, September 15, 2008. He was born in Hamilton on January 1, 1950 the son of Arthur L. and Wilma (Hibbard) Reid. Tony was employed as a marble cutter for P and D Marble and Granite. He enjoyed being with people, his family, fishing, and playing cards.
He is survived by his brother, Paul R. Reid of Batavia; two sisters, Christine (James) Brown of Garrett, Indiana and Lois (Clem) Dryden of Sarasota, Florida; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; a special cousin, Geri Reed; and good friend Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arthur Reid; and a sister, Shirley Reid.
Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave. on Saturday, Sept. 20th at 1:30 PM with Rev. Ron Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
