Antonio D. Digonno, Jr.

October 5, 1958 — October 27, 2016

Antonio D. Digonno, Jr, born on October 5, 1958 in Middletown, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Tony is the son of the late Antonio D. Digonno, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Rose Digonno.

Tony was united in marriage to Ruby Smith on July 27, 1985 and was blessed with 3 girls, Nicole, Katealin, and Johna. Tony spent his life in the automotive industry working Smyth’s Automotive and Firestone. The last years he spent maintaining My Dad’s Properties, LLC.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John M. Digonno; aunts and uncles, Sue Gardner, Yolanda Peck, Molly Minton Rosie Gabbard, Ted Digonno, Nick Digonno, and Johnny Digonno; and his father and mother-in-law, D.H. "Bud" and Dorothy Smith.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Ruby Smith Digonno; three daughters, Nicole and Phillip Trumbull of Hamilton, Katealin Digonno of Hamilton, and Johna and Leo Sanchez of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Julia and Noah Trumbull; a special cousin, Nick Digonno of Hamilton; brother-in-law, Archie and Inez Smith of West Liberty, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Shevella Yates of Arkansas; and friends, Glen Gammell Alan Fishwick, Jeff Wertz, Werner Wischerath, Vaughn Doener, and Jim Gray; his other family, the James Pate family; a "special" sister and brother, Liz and Greg Phipps of West Liberty, Kentucky; and several cousins to mourn his death.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Walt Philpot of Freedom Chapel Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held today, Friday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, BMT Floor or American Cancer Society. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com.
