Arco "Speedy" Delph

Arco "Speedy" Delph, age 75 of Hamilton passed peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 22, 2010. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on September 22, 1934 the son of Oscar and Ester (Wagers) Delph. Arco retired from Pepsi after more than 46 years in 2000. Speedy enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving fast cars, his dog Marshell and his cat Thomas. On April 4, 1954 in Hamilton he married Bobbie Jean Sigmon, and she preceded him in death on January 21, 1994.

Speedy was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Brenda Merrill, Darrell Delph, and Karen Flick and her husband Ken; three grandchildren, Joshua Merrill, Cynthia Smith, and Angelica Smith; special relatives Darlene, Lonnie, Joyce and Cathy; and special friends Johnny and Theresa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Larry Delph; three brothers, Bristo and infants Elvin and Elby; and sisters, Mildred Holbrock, Mable Smith, and Naomi Delph.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Gary Witt of World Harvest Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
