Arnold Babb

Arnold Babb, age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Tri-County Extended Care Center on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2:39 AM. He was born in Irvine, Kentucky on May 9, 1933 the son of Benjamin and Bertha (Lovins) Babb. Arnold was a former employee of the Ford Motor Company, where he retired in 1989 after 30 years of service. He attended Richmond Road Baptist Church. On March 19, 1971 in Hamilton, he married the love of his life, Juanita (Chandler) Riley. Arnold loved fishing, boating, hunting, shuffleboard, and working in his garden. Several winters were spent in Florida traveling and spending time with his many friends. Our lives are richer because of Arnold; he was full of goodness with a Christ-like heart, and was a blessing to everyone that had the good fortune of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Babb of Hamilton; two children, Arnold E. (Carol) Babb of Hamilton and Diane (Dave) Weltzer of Oxford; two stepdaughters, Barbara (James) Reid of London, Kentucky and Vickie (Tom) Rauf of Hamilton; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, Beverly (Joyce) Babb of Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo, Delmar, and Charles Babb; three sisters, Susie Dozier, Viola Babb and Imogene Babb; and a stepson, Michael Benge.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Mark Wurzelbacher, Pastor of Richmond Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The family wishes to thank Tri-County Extended Care Center for their excellent care during Arnold’s residency there and Hospice of Cincinnati. Arnold’s family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite #1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
