Arnold H. Holstein

Arnold H. Holstein, age 84 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 8:07 PM. He was born in Hamilton on October 18, 1932 the son of Edward and Florence (Montgomery) Holstein. Arnold was a veteran of The Korean War with the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was employed as a stationary engineer for Champion Paper for nineteen years and then as a plant engineer for Cincinnati Milacron for twenty-five years, retiring in 1994. Arnold was a member of St. Peter in Chains Church, the American Legion, and Amvets Post 1983. On June 13, 1953 in Hamilton he married Phyllis L. Cory.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis L. Holstein of Hamilton; three daughters, Karen (Tim) Miller of Oxford, Joan (Tim) Howell of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Marjorie (Randy) Webb of Hamilton; son-in-law, Dennis Huntington of Hamilton; five siblings, Tom (Sandra) Holstein of Cincinnati, Larry (Barbara) Holstein of Fairfield, Marcella Their, Carol Moss, and Donna (Jerry) Woodrey, all of Hamilton; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Huntington; sister, Becky Finch; and great grandson, Aidan Truett.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 451 Ridgelawn Ave., on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to CJD Foundation, 341 W. 38th Street, New York, New York, 10018, St. Jude Research Hospital, ATTN: Memorial Dept., 501 St, Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the charity of donor’s choice.
