Arnold Lunsford, age 76 of Hamilton passed away at his residence Friday, June 8, 2012. He was born February 4, 1936 in Manchester, Kentucky the son of Taylor and Rose (Hornsby) Lunsford. Arnie was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On October 27, 1970 he married Phyllis Rose. He retired from Sysco Foods after 27 years of service in 1996. Arnie possessed a great love for music and singing. He made his first recording of "Blue Tennessee Rain" in October 1966.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lunsford; children, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Lunsford, Jowanna Lunsford, and Shawnda (Brad) Noble; sister, Viola Peace; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Mills; brother, Ernest Lunsford; and sisters, Lonzie Robinson, Helen Holland, and Josephine Wise.

Visitation will be 11am, until time of service (1pm), Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue with Pastor R. Lee O’Hair officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
