Art Riley, age 74 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 7:05 PM. He was born in Hamilton on September 7, 1934 the son of Leonard and Maude (Henley) Riley. Art was employed as an assembler at A.R. Industry and was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing Euchre, and volunteering his time at the Lighthouse Fellowship’s food pantry. On August 22, 1978 in Hamilton he married Cledith Hollen.
He is survived by his wife, Cledith Riley of Hamilton; a son, Ricky Riley of Hamilton; three daughters, Margie (Bud) Brunner of Hamilton, Sandra (Jerry) Collins of New Miami, and Connie (Richard) Schoentube of Citrus Springs, Florida; a sister, Mildred Baker of West Palm Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Debbie Southard; special neighbors Bill and Christy Kraft; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dorothy Riley; a son, Lenny Riley; two sisters, Margie Brunner and Juanita Riley; and his precious dog Boo-Boo.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Sonny Hurd of Lighthouse Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
