Arthur Russell Lingler

Arthur Russell Lingler, age 92 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash, on Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 2:35 PM. He was born in Hamilton on February 14, 1917 the son of Arthur A. and Hattie (Wise) Lingler. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was employed as a carpenter and vice-president for Roth Bertsch Construction Company for 36 years, retiring in 1981 and was a life member of VFW #1069. On July 4, 1945 in San Diego, California he married Anna Lotta, and she preceded him in death in 2003. His favorite times were spent with family, especially at the holidays.

He is survived by two sons, Arthur (Tresa) Lingler of Atlanta, Georgia and David (Julie) Lingler of Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Maryanne Locker of Miami, Florida; and three grandchildren, Trece, Aaron, and Nathan. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Herschel and George Lingler.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, April 17, 1009 at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorial donations may be directed to Parkinson’s Research.
