Arthur "Brooks" Robbins

Arthur "Brooks" Robbins, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 09:34AM. He was born in Seven Mile on May 11, 1929 to George and Honor (House) Robbins. Arthur was employed at Armco Steel for 38 years. He was a member of Baptist Chapel Church. Brooks was a Korean War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. His humble spirit made him a friend to all he met and was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Robbins (Hunter); his children, Gregory P. Robbins, Metamora, IN and Donna L. (Todd) Spurlock, Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Richard) Soto and Jacob Spurlock; his great grandchildren, Teagen Soto and Sadie Soto; his sister, Vedia Horn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Robbins; eight brothers and sisters; and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Baptist Chapel Church 2019 Wayne Madison Rd. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 1PM with Pastor Fred Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 11AM-1PM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Baptist Chapel Church.
