Aulton Barger

Aulton Barger, age 87 of Hamilton, went home surrounded by family on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Aulton was born in Clay County, KY on July 25, 1929 to Dudley and Maggie (Burns) Barger. Aulton was a bus driver with Hamilton City Lines and was a school crossing guard at Lincoln Elementary. He was a faithful member of Fellowship Christian Center with Pastor Paul Marcum and Foursquare Pentecostal Church with Pastor Dennis Burns.

Aulton is survived by his wife, OmaLou Barger; his children, Connie (Odell) Whittemore, Donna (Greg) Colman, and Darrell Barger; his step-daughters, Rita Suttles and JoeAnn Ewing; his grandchildren, Renee (Garrett) Campbell, Scott (Tina) Turner, Greg Turner, Bridget (Dennis) Bartlett, David (Sarah) Wagers, Lindsay (Les) Bomar, Aaron Colman, John Suttles, Paul Suttles, Rachel Suttles, Steve Saylor and Michael Grubb; his great grandchildren, Fallon, Cierra, Chelsea, Stephanie, Gregory, Devon, Haley, Allison, Michael, Mariah, Jordan, Ember, Vera, Reba, Lilly, Donavan, Jeremiah, Isaiah, McKenzie, Megan, Jenna, and Sara; and great-great grandchildren, Preston and Vivy; his siblings, Wanda Collins, Felsie Couch, Dessie Blackwell, and Burley Sizemore Jr; and many other family members and friends. Aulton was preceded in death by Vanda Barger, his parents, and his siblings, Vaughn Barger, Jewell Couch, and William Sizemore.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 1:30 PM with Dennis Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
