Avery Eversole

Avery Eversole, age 64 of Eaton passed away at Grandview Hospital in Dayton on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on August 27, 1944 the son of Charlie and Della (Allen) Eversole. Avery was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a die maker at General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Greenhills United Baptist Church. On August 6, 1966 he married Shirley Philpot, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Scott D. Eversole; a daughter, Kathy D. (Bryan) Rea; and six grandchildren, Kyra, Hayley, Scott A., Cody, Kortney, and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Tim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or to Somers-Gratis Township Fire Department.
