Barbara Ann Brewer, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026 at the age of 69, surrounded by her family.
Born on January 9, 1957 in Kentucky, Barb was a woman whose life was defined by love, family, music, her faith, and the many people whose lives she touched.
Barb was a devoted Mother to Ryan (Kelli) Brewer, and Felicia (Shawn) Bishop, a loving grandmother to Brittany (Chris) MacRoberts, Hunter and Hannah Brewer and a proud great-grandmother to Rylan and Remi MacRoberts. She also leaves behind her father, Burlie Owens; her sister, Brenda McCroskey and many other family members and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted Brewer, and her mother, Zella Owens.
Barb had a deep love for music, she loved to sing and enjoyed playing the guitar, drums, and sharing her love of music with those around her. Music was not simply something she enjoyed, it was a part of who she was.
Barb also had a special way of making the people around her feel loved. She loved “US”- her family and her friends, that love will remain with us always. Her presence brought something special to our lives, and the memories she created will continue to be treasured for generations to come.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to have her. We will remember her laughter, her voice, her music, her stories, her strength, and above all, her love.
Her life was a gift.
Her memory is a treasure.
And her love will live on in us forever.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
