Barbara Ann Hamann, age 49 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on December 25, 2009 at 1:00 PM. She was born in Hamilton on October 21, 1960 the daughter of Peter and Mary (Arminio) Inforzato. Barbara was a 1979 graduate of Fairfield High School. On April 16, 1983 in Hamilton she married Michael Hamann. Barbara was employed as the Human Resource Systems Supervisor at Ohio Casualty for 28 years, retiring in 2008 and she was currently employed as the Management/Human Resource Assistant at Chaco Credit Union. She was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Hamann of Hamilton; her mother, Mary Inforzato of Fairfield; sister, Joan Inforzato of Fairfield; two uncles, Joe (Marlene) Arminio of Fairfield and Sam (Judy) Arminio of Hamilton; two aunts, Domma Reece and Ann (Vernon) Reiter, both of Hamilton; her mother-in-law, Fredericka Hamann of Hamilton; five brothers-in-law, Edward (Marjorie) Hamann of Cincinnati, Paul Hamann of Hamilton, John (Cindy) Hamann of Hamilton, David (Pam) Hamann of Sunbury, Ohio, and Duane (Bobbi) Hamann of Hilliard, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Pamela (Vernon) Long of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland of Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Teresa (Michael) Coughlin of Bellefontaine, Ohio; her special friends, Cynthia Fisher, Stephany Sloneker, Diane Marhefka, and Jan Marhefka; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Inforzato and infant brother, John Inforzato.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter in Chains Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Father Timothy Bunch, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Barbara would like to extend a special thank you to the Doctors and Nursing Staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital for their care and support, Dr. Paula Weisenberger and her staff for the last ten years of their continuous care, Jan Marhefka of Fort Hamilton Hospital for continuous supporting care over the last several months, and Hospice of Hamilton and their caring staff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to St. Peter in Chains Church or to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
