Barbara J. Herold-Dyer

Barbara J. Herold-Dyer, age 76, of Overpeck, passed away at Kensington Place on Wednesday, May 11, 2011. She was born March 8, 1935 the daughter of Frank and Lula (Jenkins) Botts. Barbara retired as a cook for Mercy Hospital in Hamilton. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Barbara was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. On July 24, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan she married Benny Marion Dyer who passed away on June 24, 1969.

She is survived by two sons, Harold "Ed" (Carol) Dyer of Middletown and George Dyer of Marion, Indiana; a daughter, Terry (Jack) Evans of Hamilton; a daughter-in-law, Carrie Dyer of Oxford; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Phyllis) Botts of Sommerville; and a sister, Vivan (Dick) Helsinger of Trenton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Allen Dyer; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Steven Botts, her nephew, officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to the Susan G.
