Barbara Ann Smith

Barbara Ann Smith age 62 of Hamilton passed away at Parkside Nursing and Rehab Center on Friday February 27, 2009 at 12:30 AM. She was born in Hamilton on September 6, 1946, the daughter of Ed and Edith (Brown) Marcum. On August 28, 1964 in Hamilton she married James Smith. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years James Smith of Hamilton; a son Jamie (Brandi) Smith of Hamilton; two daughters, Kim (Ed) Burns of Hamilton and Barbara (Victor) Fernandez of Hamilton; a sister Theresa Miller of Hamilton; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Casey, Madison, Lexi, Kylie, Noah, Joey and Isabelle; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Elliott; and many other relatives and friends who were all dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Wanda Marcum and Linda Wilder; and two brothers, Donnie and Elliott Marcum.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Derrick Lay pastor of Zion United Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
