Beatrice Greer

Beatrice Greer, 87, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at her home in Annville, KY.

She was born in Clay County, KY to Ance and Maggie (Hopper) McWhorter on October 1, 1928. She lived in Clay County for the early years of her life. She married her husband, Robert (Jack) Greer on December 27, 1947. She moved to Hamilton, OH where she spent most of her adult life.

Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a foster mother to 90+ foster children over the course of her life. She attended Laurel Avenue Church of Christ for many years and more recently attended Abundant Life Church. She was a devoted servant of Christ. She loved her family beyond measure and was loved and cherished by many. She will be greatly missed.

Beatrice is survived by four children, Linda (Lonnie) Hacker, Marvin (Karen) Greer, Jeanette Collins, and Michael Greer. She also raised a very special foster daughter, Peggy (David) Smith. Beatrice was blessed with ten grandchildren: Melissa, Steve, Kimberly, Kaleb, Morgan, Kristina, Elijah, Maggie, Layton, and Wyatt. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Seymour (Lena) McWhorter, Charlie McWhorter, and Dora (Dottie) Parker and many nieces and nephews that were very special to her.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the following siblings: Ance McWhorter Jr., Granville (Bub) McWhorter, Ray McWhorter, and Laura Pennington.

Public visitation will be on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning directly after at 5:00 p.m. Visitation and services will be at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ in Hamilton, OH with Minister Charles Anderson and Pastor Clark Baker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
