Ben C. Ballinger Ii

Ben C. Ballinger II, age 41 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was born in Hamilton on June 5, 1972 to Ben and Geraldine (Fischer) Ballinger. On September 16, 2000 in Hamilton he married Maribeth Owens. He was veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. Ben was employed as a Butler County Sheriff Deputy. He was a devoted husband and father, and was a loyal friend to countless others. Ben enjoyed the outdoors with his friends and family at every opportunity. He loved life and his family to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Maribeth Ballinger; children, Hannah Rose Ballinger, Emma Grace Ballinger, and Owen Luke Ballinger; parents, Ben and Geraldine Ballinger; siblings, Debbie Shelley, Tom (Sandy)Ballinger, Greg (Roberta) Ballinger, Theresa (John) Lenhoff, Christina (Eric) Hawley, and Michelle Ballinger; in-laws, Ray and Ollie Owens; sister-in-law, Lisa (Gary) Brockman; brother-in-law, Jason (Jessica) Owens; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Larry Shelley, and Jonathan Ray Owens.

Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 400 Nilles Rd., on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Larry Tharp, celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ben C. Ballinger II Memorial Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
