Benjamin Franklin Minyard, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Benwas born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 12, 1934 to Normous and Mary Gladys (Bowling) Minyard. He was a member of Laurel Ave. Church of Christ and served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1957. Ben enjoyed golfing, corn hole, cookouts, Holidays, and most of all, spending time with his family. He worked at GE Aircraft Engines for 45 years as an Instrumentation Mechanic. Ben was a member of the Free and Accepted Mason’s Hugh L. Bates Lodge No. 686 and the AMVETS Post 1983.
Ben is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey "Faye" (Cooley) Minyard; his children, Mary (Darren) Edwards, Doug Minyard, and Carolyn (Raymond) Kinsey; his grandchildren, Tera Minyard, Abby (Mike) Nartker, Madeline (Sean) Drake, Cassady, Cameron, Hailey, and Cody Edwards; and seven great grandchildren, Nicollette, Kyler, Raiden, Nevaeh, Rylynn, Lily, and Kyler; and numerous friends. Benjamin was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas "Moose" Minyard, his great granddaughter, Dafney Doane, and his parents.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Charles Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice .
