Benjamin L. Proffit, age 64, of Hamilton, passed away at his residence Saturday December 24, 2011. He was born on January 22, 1947, in Hamilton, the son of Robert and Daisy (Claire) Proffit. Benjamin was employed by the Miller Brewing Company for 18 years and retired in 2009. On December 18, 1993, he married Denise Scott.
He is survived by his wife Denise Proffit, daughter Kerri (Ralph) Bockover of Hamilton, son Chris (Rachelle) McClure of Hamilton; sister Linda (Phillip) Dunseith of Sardina, OH; and his cat, Garfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Proffit, and sisters Diana Tipton and Vicki Rough.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday December 30, 2011, at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, at 7 PM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 PM until the time of service.
