Benjamin Webb

Benjamin Webb, age 94 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 6:47 AM. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on January 16, 1915 the son of Dan and America (Bowling) Webb. Benjamin was employed in the cast coating department at Champion International Paper and was a lifelong member of the Princeton Pike Church of God. On March 31, 1939 in Clay County, Kentucky he married Mary "Posie" Murrell, who preceded him in death in 2008.

He is survived by his daughter, Audrie Moore of Hamilton; a sister Sophie (Herman) Pennington of Hamilton; two grand-daughters, Jennifer (Harold) Brashear of Brunswick, Georgia and Mary (Philip) Snyder of San Diego, California; and five great-grandchildren, Allison, Rachel, Benjamin, Tyler Lynn, and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Lewis Austin Webb; three sisters, Mary Gibson, Martha Dickerson, and Olie Gambrell; and three brothers, Elzie, Will, and Lloyd Webb.

Funeral service will be held at the Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton-Glendale Road, on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Barry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
