Berneita Hurley, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Berneita was born in Manchester, Kentucky on March 31, 1940 to the late Luther and Daisy (Buttery) Rogers. She worked for Sears in Hamilton for many years, retiring in 1992. Known to most of her family as Aunt Bea, she enjoyed gardening and collecting cookbooks. She was quite proud of her flower garden and her family always enjoyed her peanut butter fudge that she would make from scratch during the holidays. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Berneita is survived by her children, Jerry (Loretta) Hurley, Gary (Vanessa) Hurley, Regina (Larry) Mink, and Makayla (Randall) Young; her grandchildren, Monica, Tabitha, Larry, and Daisy; her great-grandchildren, Jamie, Landen, Chelsey, Sarah and Miguel; and a great-great-grandchild on the way, as well as her siblings, Arnold Rogers and Dorothy Halcomb; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Berneita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Charlie Hurley; as well as her parents and siblings, Viola Goose, Rosa B. Hibbard, Ruth Robinson, Lucy Garett, Maxine Sawyer, Mary McKibben, Margaret Anglin, Edward Rogers, Herbert Rogers, Jimmie Rogers, John Rogers, Lawrence Rogers, and Dewey Rogers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio with Pastor Larry Mink officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
