Bernice S. Kegley

May 25, 1932 — April 26, 2010

Bernice S. Kegley, age 77 of Seven Mile went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 26, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Stricklett, Kentucky on May 25, 1932 the daughter of Elmer and Mayme (Stamm) Scott. Bernice was employed as a teacher for Fairfield City Schools. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. On May 25, 1955 in Vanceburg, Kentucky she married Charles Kegley, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Randy) Daulton and Lisa (Jim) Reimer, both of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Jimmy Yenke, Alissa (Kris) Theobald, Angela (Tommy) Truett, and Justin, Jennifer, and Josh Reimer; four great-grandchildren, Sara, Travis, Emily, and Kaylee; two brothers, Jim (Evelyn) Scott and Jack Scott, both of Bucyrus, Ohio; and her special dog, B.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Virgil "Buck," Thomas, Wilbur "Dink," Forrest, Elmer "Junior," and Johnny Scott; and a son-in-law, Donald "Buzz" Burns.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Paul Tillett, Pastor of Freedom Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be directed to Freedom Baptist Church, 1766 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, OH 45013.
