Bernice Hanson Yauch

Bernice Hanson Yauch, age 75 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 8:30 AM. She was born in Franklin, Ohio on December 25, 1933 the daughter of Jacob and Bessie (Neeley) Gabbard. Bernice was a member of VFW #7670 Auxiliary. On December 11, 1953 in Middletown, she married Waldemar Hanson, and he preceded her in death in 1974; on October 23, 1976 in Lockland, she was married to Edwin G. Yauch, and he preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by three sons, Keith (Lisa) Hanson, Joe Hanson, and Douglas Hanson, all of Hamilton; two daughters, Brenda (Randall) Hughes of Springdale and Leah Hanson Turner of Hamilton; a stepson, Donald (Peggy) Yauch of Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Janet (Walt) Huegle of Fairfield Township; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeanette Howard of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Darren Lamb; and four sisters, Jessie Leona Bodnar, Ruth Caudill, Betty Bessart, and Linda Gabbard.

A graveside service will be held at Hickory Flat Cemetery on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 2:00PM with Rev. Chuck Purvis officiating. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
