Bessie Marie Morris

Bessie Marie Morris, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018. Bessie was born in Garrard County, Kentucky on August 17, 1932 to Moses and Cora (nee McQuerry) Cupp. Bessie taught at Fairfield North Elementary School for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She was avid bowler, enjoyed playing the piano and reading. Bessie’s pride and joy were her grandchildren.

Bessie is survived by her children, Vicky Morris, John (Paula) Morris, Byron (Marie) Morris, and Karen Combs; her grandchildren, Daniel Carter, Melissa Carter, Jesse Edds, Derek (Jo) Morris, Jason Morris, Ashly (Craig) Avery, Stephanie Morris, and Isaiah Rutledge; her 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mosella Stump; and many other loving family members and friends. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, John L. Morris; and her brother, Arthur James Cupp.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Queen City Hospice Care.
