Bessie Sult

Bessie Sult, age 102 of Fairfield, passed away at Tri-County Extended Care on Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born in Clay Co. on October 4, 1911 to William and Barbara (Eleton) Sandlin. She moved to the Hamilton area when she was 6 years old. She retired from Elder-Beerman after 23 years as a Department Manager and Buyer.

She is survived by her daughter, Verla (Kirt) Weldon; brother, William "Bill" Sandlin; grandchildren, David Church, Karen (Harry) Champine, Mike (Sue) Weldon, Joe (Lynne) Weldon and Sharon (Rich) Bailey; 12 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ruth Church; grandson, Robert D. Church; husband, Raymond Sult; father of her children, Robert Bingham; brothers, Elbert and Robert Sandlin; and her parents. The family would like to thank the care givers and residents of Tri-County Extended Care for being her good friend for more than 5 years.

Visitation will be 10am until time of service (11am), Saturday, January 4, 2014, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, with Rev. Rick Witt officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
